WindScape®- FAQ

CAN THE FRAME OVER ‐ INFLATE?

No, there is an automatic shut off at the correct pressure, It cannot over inflate.

WHAT IF THE “INFLATOR” IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE HALL?

WindScape® uses an “inflator” that only uses air pressure up to less than 15 psi (pounds per square inch). This does not fall under the air compressor category.

WHAT IF MY BATTERY/PUMP FAILS?

First, check to see that the connections are tight. If you have been recently using it, let it rest for a few minutes as it may need to cool down before reuse.

WHAT IF MY FRAME LOSES AIR?

WindScape® frames are made to hold air throughout a tradeshow, whether it be 3 hours or 5 days. If there is a slow loss of air you should be able to get through your show, and then send the frame back
to your Skyline office for repair.

HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST?

The battery should have enough power when fully charged to inflate and deflate 3-4, 10’ backwall displays. The “Smart” battery should remain on the charger, and the day before use, unplug and re-plug the charger in to initiate a new charging cycle that will produce a full charge in 12 hours.

THE INFLATOR IS SO LOUD, CAN IT BE QUIETED?

When inflating and deflating, the noise will be loud for a short amount of time. This can be reduced by placing the case upside down on top of the inflator during installation and dismantle.

MY INFLATOR IS NOT WORKING, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Check the connections in the inflator. Make sure the plugs are put together tightly. Unplug and re‐plugin. This will probably take care of the issue.

WHAT FIRE RETARDANT CERTIFICATIONS DOES WINDSCAPE HAVE?

WindScape® Frame fabric and graphic cover fabric both have the North American NFPA 701, California 19 (CASFM-19) and the DIN 4102-B1 globally recognized fire retardant rating.

THE COVER DOESN’T SEEM TO FIT RIGHT. WHAT IS WRONG?

During inflation or after, it may be necessary to adjust the cover so the corners fit the frame at the right location. The frames are rather organic in feel and can be adjusted easily by just twisting the tubes slightly. There is a set up video at www.SkylineWindScape.com that you may wish to watch.

WHY CAN’T I GET THE FRAME SYSTEM INTO THE CARRY-ON CASE?

To compress the frame enough to fit into the carry-on case it is necessary to use the inflator to deflate the frame before packing. This takes about 3 minutes for a 10’ backwall shape. Pack the frame and cover into the pack sack, and then into the carry-on case. Use the case straps to aid in compressing the display. Ensure you have the valve in the open position to allow air to escape.

THE GRAPHIC COVER GOT STAINED, HOW DO I CLEAN IT?

The fabric cover can be spot cleaned, dry-cleaned or washed in a washing machine.

• Separate cover from frame for cleaning. Machine-wash in cold or lukewarm water only. Drip or tumble dry at low temperature not to exceed 120 degrees. Remove and hang immediately.

• Separate cover from frame for dry-cleaning

• Fold frame and cover and store in bag provided.

IS THE FRAME CERTIFIED FOR RIGGING?

The frame connection points are self certified at Skyline.

WILL AIRPORT SECURITY QUESTION ME ABOUT CARRYING ON THE BATTERY PACK?

WindScape® uses a BK-NI-MH (high power) battery.
Safety regulations require that the battery must be disconnected from the inflator for travel. Just remove the clip that holds the connection together and pull apart the red and black connections. The battery can be removed from the inflator bag or backpack, and will show technical information regarding the battery and its use on the label. There are no restrictions on hand carrying a battery of this sort.

WILL MY FRAME BECOME DAMAGED IF I STEP ON IT?

No.

DO I REMOVE MY GRAPHIC TO SHIP?

No.

I WANT TO BUY ANOTHER GRAPHIC FOR MY DISPLAY. HOW DO I DO THAT?

Your Skyline dealer will work with you to design new artwork, and order a new cover. Return your frame and cover to your dealer and they will have the new cover installed on it.

CAN I PURCHASE MY GRAPHIC SOMEWHERE ELSE THAN SKYLINE?

The cover is integral to the frame working properly. The use of non-approved fabric covers will void the frame warranty.

WILL MY DISPLAY BLOW OVER?

WindScape® currently is made for indoor use. Flat display shapes have feet or are attached to other structures for stability.
