Distech Controls

A booth that correctly reflects a brand is one of the ultimate goals of any trade show marketer. The key is a powerful state of trust and collaboration.

Distech Controls and Skyline Montreal recently worked on a complete redesign of Distech Controls’ trade show exhibit for AHR Expo 2013, in Chicago, with the objective of transitioning from a functional booth to one that encompasses technology and aesthetics.

Being the biggest trade show in the HVACR industry (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), AHR Expo visitors are focused on learning about new technologies. Distech Controls therefore aimed at highlighting its innovations. The design process took lots of time and brainstorming, but the end result certainly reflected Distech Controls’ position in the marketplace : a global innovation leader. The design scope called out the need to reflect modernity, innovation and purity. Several demo stations were placed in the 20′ by 25′ modular Skyline Envoy® island booth, as well as a video wall positioned strategically to grab visitors’ attention and illustrate Distech Controls’ capabilities. Modernity was reached through the use of a set of suspended, semi-transparent acrylic squares that helped create a semi-private meeting area.

Exceptional Results

The collaboration between Distech Controls and Skyline Montreal resulted in a booth that was a natural fit with the brand : it accurately reflected its personality while clearly highlighting its message. “The end result was awe-inspiring”, states Caroline Cadieux, Director of Marketing and Communications at Distech Controls. “Everyone was talking about us, as much about our products as they were about our booth.” Many people at the show said the booth and the branding were “the natural evolution and look for Distech Controls”. The synergy between the brand and the trade show exhibit was ideal.
